Located on the Ayrshire coast, Clyde Marina in Ardrossan has become Aquavista’s first marina in Scotland, taking its UK network to 34 locations. The acquisition also includes Sunbird International Yacht Sales and adds the site to its coastal locations at Glasson, Hull, Birdham Pool and Royal Clarence.
Clyde Marina has 280 serviced berths and two boatyards with space for more than 300 vessels, supported by a 50-tonne mobile travel hoist, a 20-tonne mobile boat mover and a 25-tonne mobile crane, as well as laundry services, a marine diesel berth and waste and recycling facilities. The marina and Sunbird Yacht Sales remain private businesses and will continue operating during the Ardrossan Harbour redevelopment, following an agreement signed with Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd and Peel Waters Group UK Ltd in June this year.
In the marina’s announcement on social media, director Eric Martin commented: “For some time, I have been considering which business would be best placed to invest in Clyde’s long-term future while preserving the values and customer experience that have made it such a success. Following a detailed process, we have selected Aquavista as the new owner.”

Backed by Antin Infrastructure Partners, Aquavista has continued to invest across its marina network in 2026, starting with the acquisition of Caen Hill Marina in southwest England in January. This was followed in May by the completion of a £1.3 million ($1.7 million) redevelopment at Nottingham Castle Waterside & Marina. In June, £1.4 million ($1.8 million) was committed to upgrade Glasson Waterside & Marina, as refurbishment also began at Fettlers Wharf Waterside & Marina in Rufford, Lancashire.
