Aquavista has started a refurbishment at Fettlers Wharf Waterside & Marina in Rufford, Lancashire, with completion due by the end of August 2026. The project focuses on upgrades to customer facilities and marina infrastructure aimed at improving daily operations at the site.

Located on the Rufford Branch of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal near Ormskirk, the marina offers more than 100 moorings for narrowboats, wide beams and cruisers, with leisure, visitor and winter mooring options available.
The site’s existing shower and toilet facilities are being transformed into ensuite rooms, while a new laundry room with commercial machines and app-based availability tracking is also on the way. New additions also include a customer lounge, updated office and reception areas and a dog wash area.
Jetty surfaces are being renewed using anti-slip GRP Duradeck material, while Wi-Fi is being installed across the marina as part of wider improvements to the site’s overall condition.
Marina manager Ian Parker stated: “Fettlers Wharf is a beautiful marina, and these improvements will significantly enhance the experience for our customers. We’re delighted to be investing in the facilities and strengthening the marina’s reputation as a fantastic place to spend time on the water.”
Aquavista has recently been making improvements across its UK marina network through its investment programme. In May 2026, Aquavista completed a £1.3 million ($1.7 million USD) redevelopment at Nottingham Castle Waterside & Marina in England, followed earlier this month by a £1.4 million ($1.8 million) investment announcement at Glasson Waterside & Marina in Lancaster.
