TopSide Marinas has entered the Iowa market with the acquisition of Rathbun Lake Marina, a full-service marina and resort destination in Moravia. The acquisition follows the company’s marina purchases in Michigan and Missouri in early 2026.
Located on Rathbun Lake in southern Iowa, the marina sits in an area known for boating, fishing, camping and water-based activities. The nearby town of Moravia serves as one of the main access points to the lake.
Rathbun Lake Marina was established in 2010 and operates on a 160-acre leasehold property with the US Army Corps of Engineers. The site includes approximately 246 wet slips, boat rental facilities, four campgrounds with around 144 campsites and a 12-room hotel, as well as amenities including a soccer field and frisbee golf.
TopSide Marinas said plans for the marina include increasing slip capacity, adding roofs to uncovered docks and introducing a service department. The company also plans to expand its boat rental operation and parking area to support additional public boat launches.

TopSide Marinas owns and operates marinas across Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan. In February 2026, the company acquired Bay Harbor Marina, followed by the acquisition of Campbell Point Marina in March 2026.
