In time for Alimos Marina’s redevelopment to enter its final phase, Stavros Katsikadis has been appointed CEO of the southern Athens marina. His experience in marina development and marine tourism is expected to support the project’s next stage and its plans for a modern and sustainable destination.

Katsikadis started out as a ship’s engineer in 1997 and later became chief engineer in the Latsis Group’s shipping division. His move into maritime tourism came in 2004, when he joined Flisvos Marina as general manager during its development ahead of the Athens Olympic Games.
He went on to serve as managing director of LAMDA Marinas Investments, with responsibility for Lamda Development’s marinas, including Agios Kosmas Marina. His experience in the sector has also included regeneration projects and concession agreements, and since 2011 he has chaired the Greek Marinas Association.
ELLAKTOR Group, whose subsidiary REDS holds the concession for the marina’s redevelopment and management, welcomed Katsikadis to his new role. The appointment comes as the redevelopment of the marina enters its final implementation phase, following the Ministry of Tourism’s issuance of the building permit in May 2026.

In a social media post, Katsikadis thanked his former colleagues, partners and clients for their contribution to his time at Lamda Marinas, Flisvos and Agios Kosmas marinas. He added: “I am now looking ahead to a new vision and a new chapter, joining ELLΑKTOR Group and taking on a new challenge in the development and reborn of the company’s Alimos Marina.”
The marina, located on the Athenian Riviera, is one of the largest in the Mediterranean, with 1,000 permanent berths, including 50 for vessels longer than 25 metres, and a dry dock and winter storage area for more than 350 vessels. Its redevelopment is expected to include a hotel near Edem Beach, commercial and office spaces along Poseidonos Avenue, dining areas on the central pier, yacht club facilities, an upgraded swimming pool, and new public spaces, walkways, cycle paths and green areas.
