Mumbai Port Authority’s Viksit Bharat Mumbai Marina is targeted for completion by December 2030, with construction planned to start this month after union minister for ports, shipping and waterways Shri Sarbananda Sonowal reviewed development plans in Mumbai.

The ministry approved plans in December 2025 for the marina project, with an estimated cost of ₹887 crore ($98 million USD). The project is planned at Princes’ Dock, covering 4.2 hectares of land and 12 hectares of water area, and will be developed through a public-private partnership.
L&T GeoStructure will develop marine infrastructure for the project, including an approach trestle, breakwater, pontoons, platforms and gangways to support operations in the harbour area.
The review, held at Evelyn House, also covered other port authority projects related to energy infrastructure, cargo handling and waterfront development across the port area.
