L&T GeoStructure, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, has secured infrastructure orders in India, including a contract awarded by the Mumbai Port Authority for the construction of a yacht marina at Mumbai Harbour.

Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways

The construction project covers India’s first major marina, with an approach trestle, piled breakwater, service platforms, concrete pontoons and gangways designed to support yacht operations in the harbour area.

The marina is planned across nearly 12 hectares of water area and will accommodate more than 400 vessels of up to 30 metres in length. The project follows a hybrid model, with the port authority responsible for the core marine infrastructure on an engineering, procurement and construction basis, while a private operator will develop onshore facilities.

Announced in December 2025, the marina project was approved by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways as part of wider development plans for Mumbai Harbour. The project aligns with Maritime India Vision 2030, Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047, the Sagarmala Programme and the Cruise Bharat Mission, as well as the Port Master Plan 2047 of the Mumbai Port Authority.

L&T GeoStructure has also secured two contracts from the Inland Waterways Authority of India for ship repair facilities at Patna and Varanasi. In Odisha, it has received a piling order from JSW Utkal Steel for an integrated steel plant at Paradeep.
