Marina Port Vell in Barcelona has introduced an underwater drone inspection service developed by Drones4Geology. The service allows inspections of hulls and mooring systems beneath the waterline while vessels remain in their berths.

The underwater drones examine submerged sections of vessels and marina infrastructure without the need for complex underwater work. This helps identify potential maintenance issues at an earlier stage and supports routine monitoring of underwater areas.
The new service follows other recent additions at the Barcelona marina, including helicopter access developed with Barcelona Port Heliport that offers direct connections between the marina and destinations across the Mediterranean.

Marina Port Vell hosts superyachts visiting the region and includes a 400-metre pier designed for vessels of up to 190 metres in length.
Other facilities available at the marina include a gymnasium, a business hub, fuel bunkering services and fuel station, recycling facilities, waste collection, car parking and storage spaces located close to berths.
