D-Marin has received two major distinctions at the Environmental Awards 2026, organised by Boussias Events in Greece, for its Biohut initiative, a programme that supports the protection and restoration of marine biodiversity across four of its marinas.

The initiative won the gold award in the Biodiversity & Nature Protection category. It also took the platinum award, the competition's highest overall distinction, which goes to the highest-scoring entry across all categories.

Biohut is a solution developed by ECOCEAN and deployed in collaboration with D-Marin. To date, 171 units have been installed at D-Marin Port Camille Rayon, Gouvia, Dalmacija and Porto Mirabello.

The units are designed to support marine life and help restore biodiversity in the waters around the marinas. You can read more about Biohuts and their role in marine conservation here.

The double win follows other recent recognition for D-Marin in 2026. The company earned a silver award at the Tourism Awards 2026 and was named Best CSR Initiative at the Cannes Yachting Festival Innovation Route Awards 2026.

"At D-Marin, we recognise our responsibility to protect and preserve marine biodiversity," the company said. "Through initiatives like Biohut, we continue to make a meaningful contribution to healthier marine ecosystems and a more sustainable future for the waters we call home."
