The Harrison Hot Springs Marina in British Columbia has announced its opening under the ownership of Sqéwqel Development Corporation (SqDC), the economic arm of the Seabird Island First Nation. The acquisition marks one of the corporation’s first off-reserve investments, which aligns with its long-term goals for self-sustaining economic development and community growth.

Located at 102 Rockwell Drive, the Harrison Hot Springs Marina occupies a spot on Harrison Lake. The facility features 225 slips, accommodating a range of boat types and sizes. The marina also includes a 4.3-hectare offshore lease and a 1.87-acre deeded waterfront parcel.

The marina was recently listed for sale and has since been sold. Based on a listing posted by RE/MAX Nyda Realty, Harrison Hot Springs attracts steady visitor traffic due to its hot springs and recreational amenities. The marina supports strong occupancy rates and the potential to project annual revenues ranging from $850,000 to over $1 million CAD.

As part of the transition to new ownership, SqDC will host a celebration on Saturday, 17 May 2025. The event will feature an official opening ceremony at 11:00 with food trucks, local vendors and entertainment. The celebration invites locals and visitors to mark the occasion and experience the marina’s new direction under the leadership of SqDC.
