D-Marin has revealed the first look at Marina Livorno, a new marina project planned within the port of Livorno on Italy’s Tuscan coast. The development is scheduled to open in phases from 2026 and sets out changes to marina operations alongside updates to public access along the city’s waterfront.

The development represents an investment of €20 million ($23.4 million USD) and forms part of D-Marin’s expansion in Italy. It is being developed in collaboration with the Azimut|Benetti Group, and is located near the group’s shipyards, placing the marina at a key point for access to Tuscany, the Tuscan islands and the Corsican coast.
Construction began in September 2025 and is progressing towards a planned completion in autumn 2027. Marina Livorno will provide 815 berths for vessels between 15 and 80 metres, with 336 berths expected to become available in 2026. The marina will have security coverage, concierge services, dining facilities and retail outlets.

Designed by Florence-based studio Archea Associati, the marina follows a low-impact development approach. Planned features include solar canopies, rainwater recovery systems and green walls. Landscaping elements will replace traditional fencing to maintain visual continuity between the marina and its surrounding environment.
These measures align with D-Marin’s environmental and operational standards, which have received recognition through an EcoVadis Gold Award for ESG performance.

Andrea De Santis, Chief Operating Officer of D-Marin stated: “Marina Livorno reflects our belief that premium yachting and environmental responsibility can and must advance together. This marina has been designed not only for boaters but for the entire Livorno community, a place where innovation, sustainability and the spirit of the city meet.”
The project also includes changes beyond the marina basin. Plans show the Bacino Piccolo area becoming a water-facing public square, while Molo Mediceo will open to residents and visitors with public docks, leisure areas, green spaces and dedicated parking, alongside an extended promenade linking the marina to the old port.

Marina Livorno adds to D-Marin’s existing Italian portfolio, which includes Punta Faro, Marina di Varazze, Porto Mirabello, Marina degli Aregai and Marina di San Lorenzo. Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Athens, D-Marin manages 26 marinas across nine countries and operates more than 14,000 berths, including around 1,000 dedicated to superyachts.
