Lakeside Companies has acquired the concessionaire lease for Boyer Park & Marina / Snake River KOA Holiday near Colfax, Washington. The Idaho-based company will manage the waterfront campground and full-service marina, expanding its operations on the Palouse and Snake River and continuing the site’s partnership with Kampgrounds of America (KOA).
Known for camping, boating and fishing, the 56-acre property is a short drive from Colfax and Pullman through the Palouse farm country. The site is also close to the Lower Granite Lock and Dam, with a pedestrian and bike trail through the park extending from Almota Creek.
Visitors have access to around 61 paved RV sites, four camping cabins and three tent sites, as well as on-site services including a restaurant, convenience store, laundry room, restrooms and shower facilities. The property’s full-service marina has about 150 slips for long-term and transient moorage, along with eight docks, a boat launch, a floating fuel dock and a waste disposal station.
Lakeside, with operating businesses and entrepreneurial ventures across the Inland Northwest, plans to invest in the guest experience at the site through upgrades and local partnerships. The company said it expects the park to contribute to the regional economy and benefit local businesses, attractions and service providers.
General manager Reilly Roach said: “The Palouse has been a meaningful part of Lakeside for more than 20 years, so Boyer Park felt like a natural fit for us. We’re excited to continue its legacy and work alongside our partners to support its long-term success.”
Site manager Shawndee Rohde added: “We are excited to continue building on its long-standing reputation as a destination where people can relax, reconnect and make lasting memories. We feel incredibly fortunate to be part of this community and to help preserve and enhance this beautiful park for future generations.”
Lakeside will also continue working with KOA, a leading system of privately owned, open-to-the-public campgrounds, which will remain the hospitality partner at the site, and the Port of Whitman County, which has worked with Boyer Park and Marina since 1972.
County commission president Karl Webber said: “Over the years, Boyer has been managed by several concessionaires that provided excellent customer service and preserved the park’s beauty. The port is happy to work with Lakeside Companies as the new concessionaire. We appreciate their commitment to continuing Boyer’s legacy of pristine recreation on the Snake River.”
