Casa Rio Marina, a family-owned boatyard located in Edgewater, Maryland, has been sold for $4.6 million USD. The transaction was led by Jeff Griesbauer and Judith Neighoff of Hyatt Commercial, who represented the seller.

Situated along the waters of Cadle Creek off the Rhode River, the 6.5-acre marina features 35 wet slips and 200 on-land storage spaces. The site also provides access to the Chesapeake Bay.

According to Hyatt Commercial, the property was purchased by a long-standing local marine service operator and his son. The new owners plan to continue the marina’s operations and maintain its role in serving the boating community.

“Casa Rio has been a landmark marina on the Mayo Peninsula for decades. We’re proud to have represented the seller in passing this well-loved property to another family dedicated to preserving its service and reputation in the local boating community,” said Jeff Griesbauer, Vice President at Hyatt Commercial.

Founded in 1979, Casa Rio Marina is known as the “House by the River” and has served both sail and powerboat owners for more than four decades. The marina now offers boat storage, hauling and launching services with two travel lifts that can handle vessels up to 45ft (14 metres).
