Bullfrog Marina on Lake Powell in southern Utah will temporarily move to deeper water near Halls Crossing as lake levels decline. Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and concessionaire Aramark are shifting marina facilities to maintain boating access.

According to Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas, the move follows projections from the Bureau of Reclamation’s 24-month study, which point to lower water levels.
The marina, boat rental operations and fuel dock will be moved to the main channel where water depth is more stable. The relocation is scheduled to begin in late April and continue through mid-May, with docks and infrastructure moved in phases.
Most boats are expected to move with the floating docks as the marina is relocated, with some needing to be towed separately depending on water depth and location.
Fuel, pump-out, on-site assistance and land-based facilities, including the lodge, campground, restaurant and fuel station, are expected to continue operating during the relocation.
A shoreline access route is being prepared near Halls Crossing, including a walkway to the docks. Officials are also considering water taxi options to help visitors travel between Bullfrog and the new marina site.
At the same time, the National Park Service is finalising plans for a new launch ramp at Stanton Creek near Bullfrog, where the marina is expected to move permanently.
