A recent update from Beaufort Town Docks states that construction has begun on a new commercial dock area, while diesel fuel is now available at every slip.

Located about 30 miles from the Gulf Stream, Beaufort Town Docks operates as an all-transient marina with floating docks for vessels up to 55ft (17 metres), along with more than 850ft (259 metres) of side-tie dockage for vessels up to 240ft (73 metres).

The work includes replacing older docks with new floating docks, designed to improve access, safety and the overall experience along the waterfront.

In another update, the marina confirmed that diesel is now available across all slips, with support from Beaufort’s mayor and board of commissioners, the Beaufort waterfront operations & finance committee, town staff, as well as partners and community members.

This follows an earlier development in January 2026, when a new fuel tank was installed on the south side of Front Street. The tank holds up to 20,000 gallons of diesel and 6,000 gallons of gasoline.

On 1 January 2026, the Town of Beaufort transferred management and operations of Beaufort Town Docks to F3 Marina.
