Construction of the €7.55 million ($8.4 million USD) Dajla–Belveder public harbour near Novigrad, Croatia, has returned to its regular pace following the summer season. As part of the development, Marinetek has signed a contract with main contractor Adriaing to supply and install concrete pontoons for the harbour’s two floating piers.

Located on the Istrian coast, the harbour project is led by the Umag-Novigrad County Port Authority and aims to provide safer mooring conditions for local recreational boats, fishing vessels and excursion boats. Once completed, the site will offer 63 communal berths, a public promenade, green spaces and seating areas. The project has a total budget of €7,554,350 ($8.4 million) and receives funding from the European Regional Development Fund through the Competitiveness and Cohesion Programme 2021-2027.
Construction is back in full swing following the summer tourism season, according to the port authority’s October update. Earlier work covered the quay wall, including the completion of concrete sections, reinforcement of its upper structure and placement of stone material for the planned waterfront promenade. The breakwater also took shape through the construction of foundation piles, production of concrete wave screens and the arrival of structural beams at the site. Dredging also continued in the harbour basin, alongside preparations for the slipway and construction of chambers for utility connections.
For the floating piers, contractor Adriaing has signed an agreement with Marinetek to manufacture, supply and install six All Concrete M2415AC pontoons, measuring 2.20 metres by 14.92 metres, which will create two piers approximately 45 metres long each. Marinetek will also provide access gangways, anchoring and mooring systems for the piers and vessels.
