VoltSafe Inc has announced that its marine shore power system has completed and passed safety certification testing to UL and CSA standards as the company begins commercial deployment across North America. The system is designed to help marina operators monitor and manage dockside electricity, including power use, electrical faults and maintenance.
The dock-to-dashboard platform combines a magnetic shore power connection, dockside hardware and cloud-connected software to monitor electrical conditions, track energy use, detect faults and manage electrical assets from a central system.
VoltSafe says the certification testing follows years of research and development, third-party testing and trials at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club and the Port of San Diego, where its prongless technology was tested in working marina environments. The company now plans to focus on commercial production across North America and expects its shore power system to reach more docks in the coming months.
