Marina Port Valencia has introduced an electric cleaning vessel at Marina Norte to help keep marina waters cleaner and reduce emissions and noise during daily operations. The vessel, called NetBoat, was unveiled on 8 May in the presence of representatives from the Valencia Port Authority, Marina Port Valencia and Ona Safe & Clean.

NetBoat uses a fully electric propulsion system designed for water cleaning work inside the marina. The vessel can collect floating waste, remove hydrocarbons and surface oils, and oxygenate the water during operation.
The CatClean 75 model can operate for up to 16 hours using an electrical system supported by built-in solar panels. The vessel measures 7.5 metres in length with a 2.5-metre beam and has a hydrocarbon retention capacity of up to 2,000 litres. It also has an estimated cleaning capacity of 8.89 km² per hour.
Built with certified marine-grade aluminium, the vessel features a catamaran-style hull designed to improve stability and handling in tighter marina spaces.
Patrick Reynés, CEO of Marina Port Valencia, said: “NetBoat isn’t just a cleaning tool, but a statement of intent about the marina model we want to build for the future.”
He added that the vessel is included in the marina’s broader plans focused on innovation, decarbonisation and active conservation of the Mediterranean environment.
Marina Port Valencia’s wider project includes Marina Norte, Marina Sur and Marina City, with berths planned for vessels from eight metres to 130 metres. The development also includes a dry marina and a technical shipyard for marine-sector businesses.
