The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) announced the winners of the Marina of the Year Awards 2025 during the Southampton International Boat Show on 24 September 2025. Anchored by Haven Knox-Johnston, the ceremony recognised service, sustainability and community achievements across the global marina industry.

The awards are open to Gold Anchor-accredited marinas worldwide. Categories included coastal and inland marinas, international and superyacht destinations, sustainability and individual contributions to the boating community.
Jonathan Dyke, Chair of TYHA, welcomed attendees and sponsors. He said: “These awards are all about celebrating excellence in our industry and the incredible people and places that make boating such a joy. I’d like to extend special thanks to our headline sponsor Haven Knox-Johnston for their valued support and to all the boaters and berth holders who took the time to vote and share their experiences.”
Poole Quay Boat Haven won Coastal Marina of the Year under 250 berths, with Emsworth Yacht Harbour as runner-up. For marinas with over 250 berths, Boatfolk’s Royal Quays Marina received the award, with Jersey Marinas as runner-up.
Shepperton Marina was awarded Inland Marina of the Year, with Overwater Marina as runner-up. Setur Antalya Marina in Turkey won International Marina of the Year, and Portonovi Marina in Montenegro was runner-up.
Marina de Vilamoura in Portugal was named Superyacht Marina of the Year, with Yalikavak Marina in Turkey as runner-up. Boatfolk’s Haslar Marina received the Sustainable Marina of the Year award, while Dubai Harbour and Parkstone Bay Marina were highly commended.

Ian Shakespeare from Cowes Yacht Haven won Employee of the Year. Runners-up included Lucas Alcon of Puerto Sherry, Mikey of Shepperton Marina, James Conroy of Royal Quays, Alican of D-Marin Turguteris, Barry Goodman of Ipswich Beacon Marina, Adrian Warrington of Marina di Valletta, Gareth of Aqueduct Marina, Rebecca Reynolds of Tingdene Brundall Bay and Harry Darrah of Emsworth Yacht Haven.
Ian Shakespeare said he was honoured by the recognition: “I’m honestly humbled to receive this award. I’ve always just tried to do my bit to make life easier and more enjoyable for our berth holders and visitors, so to be recognised in this way is incredibly special. It’s a real honour to work with such a great team and community.”
Jersey Marinas was named Overall Marina Team of the Year. Manager Michel Le Moine commented: “We are absolutely delighted to be named Overall Marina Team of the Year. This award is a huge achievement for our entire team, who work tirelessly to make Jersey Marinas a welcoming and world-class destination for all our berth holders and visitors. To be recognised by the people who use our marina every day makes it even more meaningful, and we’re incredibly proud to bring this recognition home to the island.”

The ceremony closed with a gathering at the TYHA stand, sponsored by IGY Marinas. Attendees, sponsors and winners came together to celebrate, reflecting the role of marinas in raising standards and supporting the international boating community.
