Turkey has officially opened the Gazipaşa Gold Marina in Antalya, marking the country’s 65th operational marina. The facility is expected to support year-round tourism, contribute to the local economy and create employment opportunities.

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, who attended the opening ceremony, said the marina will extend yacht tourism across all seasons, helping to maintain activity in the region during the winter months. He noted that with Gazipaşa, Turkey’s marina network now stretches from Yalova to Seferihisar, Çeşme to Didim, and Mersin to Kaş and Alanya.
Gazipaşa Gold Marina is designed to accommodate 208 vessels and features a 600-metre main breakwater, a 193-metre secondary breakwater, a 676-metre quay and a 320-metre floating pier.

The facility covers more than 3,800sqm, including mechanical and electrical systems, drainage and treatment infrastructure, fire safety measures and landscaped areas. Visitors and yacht owners will have access to restaurants, event spaces and maintenance services.
The project is expected to create employment, attract both domestic and international visitors and contribute to foreign currency income through long-term mooring of foreign-flagged vessels.

Additional marina projects in Datça, Tekirdağ, Haliç in Istanbul, and Mersin Aydincik were mentioned during the event, with infrastructure construction for Mersin Aydincik expected to be completed by the end of 2025, followed by tendering for facilities.
The minister added that over the past 23 years, Turkey has increased its number of marinas from 41 to 65 and expanded mooring capacity from 8,500 to around 26,000, which supports growth in yacht and cruise tourism in the region.
