Torras Properties, which operates Brunswick Landing Marina, is expanding its marine business in Georgia through St. Marys Marina, a new downtown waterfront facility expected to open by 1 November 2026.
Preparing to serve visiting and long-term boaters, St. Marys Marina sits within walking distance of downtown restaurants, shops, waterfront parks and other local attractions, and is near the Cumberland Island ferry. The marina will accommodate vessels up to 120ft (37 metres) at its concrete floating docks, which will provide 30-amp and 50-amp shore power, plus 100-amp three-phase service, internet access and a pump-out system. The site’s yacht club across the street will house a lounge, kitchen, restrooms and showers, alongside laundry facilities, a waterfront-facing balcony, a back deck and a backyard gathering area.
St. Marys Marina will become the second marina in Torras Properties’ marine portfolio, joining Brunswick Landing Marina along the coast. The family-owned company also has interests in commercial real estate, residential development and other investments.

Michael Torras, who manages marina operations for Torras Properties, added: “We have spent years learning what boaters value at Brunswick Landing Marina, and we have an opportunity in St. Marys to build on that experience from day one. Our goal is to provide an exceptional marina experience on the docks while also connecting our customers with St. Marys. We want the marina to be good for our boaters, good for downtown businesses and a positive addition to the community.”
Plans for the marina include a Downtown Partner Program for local restaurants, shops and other businesses, which can participate at no cost. The marina will promote participating businesses to its customers, while the businesses will provide guests with a small perk such as a discount, special offer or complimentary item. Members of the America’s Great Loop Cruisers’ Association and the Marine Trawler Owners Association will also receive ten percent off transient dockage.
Dockmaster Colin Redy, who will lead day-to-day operations at the new marina, commented: “We want St. Marys Marina to be the kind of place where boaters feel comfortable whether they are stopping for a few days or making us their home marina. My focus will be on the day-to-day details-knowing our customers, taking care of their boats and making sure the experience on the docks matches the quality of the facility.”
