The marina is located steps from downtown Racine and offers 53 uncovered slips for vessels ranging from 14 to 19-metres (44 to 62-feet). The LakeShore Towers Marina project was developed by the LakeShore and Marina Association, with marine consultants Edgewater Resources and Meeco Sullivan to manufacture and install the floating marina.

The completed marina features IPE decking, which was chosen for its longevity and refined appearance. The timber structure also includes 6×6 vertical rub rails to help protect vessels during docking. Utility access runs throughout the marina, with openings spaced approximately 3 to 3.7-metres (10 to 12-feet) apart to support maintenance and service needs.  Access from shore is provided by a 1.9-metres width (6-feet) and 12-metres (40-feet) in length gangway.

David Schiel, President of the LakeShore Towers Marina Association, commented: “It has been an extreme pleasure working with Meeco Sullivan every step of this project. From the initial sale, to design, to completion, we have been happy with Meeco Sullivan.”

Now fully open, the LakeShore Towers Marina enhances Racine’s boating infrastructure and reflects growing demand for marina facilities on Lake Michigan. With its new timber construction and design, the new marina is well positioned to serve the local boating community and visiting mariners from across the region.
