Jerusalem Creek Marina & Holiday Park in Victoria, Australia, has started work on a three-year marina upgrade aimed at modernising existing infrastructure and improving safety standards across the site.

Located at Lake Eildon, the site includes 130 berths and a holiday park with around 200 annual caravan sites at Gerety Bay. The wider precinct also features a bar and bistro, mini supermarket, fuel outlet, fishing and outdoor tackle store, boat and kayak hire services and access to a nearby public boat ramp.

With decades-old infrastructure due for replacement, works are being completed in stages through to 2029 after construction began in May 2026. Stage one includes 52 new pens and 10 walkways, followed by stage two with 40 pens and 10 walkways and stage three with 38 pens and six walkways.

As part of the upgrade, larger berths are planned for different vessel categories, including 25ft (seven-metre) pens for category 1-3 vessels and 27ft and 30ft (eight- and nine-metre) pens for larger category 4-5 vessels.

The marina will include upgraded mooring systems, longer marina fingers and fender systems replacing tyre-based units, alongside reuse of materials from existing structures in a breakwater system.

Bruce Vance, general manager of Jerusalem Creek Marina and Holiday Park said the works respond to changes in vessel sizes and operational requirements, as well as updated safety expectations.

“This is about future-proofing the marina. Boats are bigger, expectations are higher and safety standards have evolved – this investment ensures we keep pace,” he said.
