Sobha Realty has entered the Abu Dhabi market with the launch of Sobha City, a waterfront community in Al Bahiya with a marina, promenade, residential neighbourhoods and green spaces.

Sobha Realty is an international developer founded in 1976 with a presence across the UAE, Oman and India, including projects in Dubai and Umm Al Quwain.
Located in Al Bahiya along the E10 and E12 corridor, the site is close to Zayed International Airport and Yas Island. It covers approximately 353 hectares, with the initial phase spanning around 74 hectares.
The development includes a two-kilometre promenade and a marina destination, alongside retail and social spaces along the waterfront.
Around 60 percent of the site is allocated to open and green spaces, featuring more than 50,000 trees, landscaped areas and shaded walkways. An 18-kilometre wellness loop and a network of pedestrian paths are also planned across the community.
Residential options will include apartments, villas and mansions, along with facilities such as schools, healthcare services and mosques. The plan also includes an executive par-3 golf course by Greg Norman Golf Course Design.
Ravi Menon, chairman of Sobha Group, said: “Abu Dhabi holds a unique position as a city that balances cultural authenticity with forward-looking ambition, and our entry reflects a long-term belief in its evolution not just as a solid real estate market, but as a place where communities can grow with family-oriented intention. Sobha City has been envisioned as a living environment that feels calm, enduring and deeply connected to its surroundings, while being future-ready.”
Francis Alfred, managing director of Sobha Realty, stated: “As we expand our footprint into Abu Dhabi, Sobha City will be embodiment of our vertically integrated approach to development ensuring not only exceptional quality but also long-term resilience and value. This position us strongly within a market driven by sustained population growth, investor-friendly policies and projected increased demand for integrated, lifestyle-oriented developments.”
