The Port of Everett Commission has adopted a $70 million USD budget for 2026, covering operating and capital expenses to maintain and enhance the port’s marina, waterfront and seaport facilities.

Port of Everett

Port of Everett Marina is a public facility featuring 2,300 permanent boat slips, more than 5,000ft (1,524 metres) of guest moorage and a 13-lane public boat launch. Onsite amenities include a full-service boat yard, fuel docks, gear storage, and laundry and shower facilities.

The port operates eight shipping berths on 125 acres, handling cargoes for industries including aerospace, military, construction and manufacturing.

For 2026, the port has allocated $100,000 to reconstruct Guest Dock 1 and upgrade marina systems as part of a broader $12.1 million capital plan for future years. Investments in waterfront infrastructure are budgeted at $2.6 million and include public spaces, new retail and restaurant buildings, and development at the Millwright District.

Seaport improvements are set at $8.1 million, funding electrification, utility upgrades, security enhancements and environmental cleanup under the Puget Sound Initiative. Maintenance and preservation of facilities, including pier strengthening, bulkhead repairs, dredging and boat launch updates, are planned at $7.1 million.

The overall $70 million budget consists of:

  • $18.3 million in capital expenditures
  • $38.2 million in operating costs
  • $9.3 million in debt service
  • $2.7 million in non-operating expenses
  • $1.5 million for cash reserves

Public input was collected through meetings and a formal hearing on 4 November 2025, before the Special Port Commission meeting on 12 November 2025, when the budget was adopted.
