Tarpon Point Marina in Cape Coral, Florida completed the first phase of its dock replacement with Golden Marine Systems’ 950 Series Double Track Aluminum Dock System. The upgrade directly responds to past hurricane damage and aims to improve the durability of the waterfront infrastructure.

The marina offers more than 200 slips with capacity for vessels up to 23 metres (75 ft), with special accommodations for vessels up to 38 metres (125 ft). The facility also provides fuel services, pump-outs and discounted rates for tenants.
Based in North Fort Myers, Golden Marine Systems was chosen after the marina’s previous concrete docks suffered significant damage during recent storms. The rigid structure failed to adapt to strong wave and wind energy, prompting a shift to more flexible materials.
The newly installed 950 Series system features an aluminium frame designed for flexibility under load. This allows the docks to move in response to wave energy, which can help mitigate structural stress during severe weather. Topped with brick paver decking, the system also adds weight for greater stability and enhances the overall look of the marina.

Michael Shanley, President of Golden Marine Systems, stated: “We’re proud to complete phase one of this important project. This design reflects the perfect balance between performance and presentation. With hurricane resilience and high-end finishes, the new docks set a new standard for coastal marina infrastructure.”
The second phase of the redevelopment is scheduled to begin shortly after the new year, in 2026.
