The Marina Industries Association (MIA) is inviting speakers to submit proposals for the Marinas26 Conference, which will take place on 25-26 May 2026 at the Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast, Queensland. The biennial event is expected to attract over 400 delegates, including marina operators, developers, suppliers and other key industry stakeholders.

MIA is inviting contributors to provide proposals aligned with the theme “Future Smart”. The aim is to provide informative, thought-provoking and motivating content tailored for owners and operators of marinas and boatyards.

Karen Baldwin, Marinas26 Conference Chair, said: “The future-focused lens will ensure that the industry is aware of the opportunities created by the rapid technological change we are experiencing. This theme highlights how embracing new technologies – from energy management and renewable infrastructure to AI-powered customer service and predictive maintenance – will help marinas stay competitive, resilient and profitable.”

Speaking proposals should include a 200-300 word abstract, outline the primary topic, demonstrate alignment with the conference theme, specify expected learning outcomes and include a brief speaker biography. Submissions should be emailed to Suzanne Davies at ceo@marinas.net.au.

Marinas26 provides a platform for delegates to explore emerging trends, share knowledge and develop future strategies for marina operations. The conference encourages collaboration and forward-thinking discussions across the sector, covering technology adoption, sustainability and operational efficiency.

MIA represents over 340 corporate members across Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region, supporting sustainable marina industries through leadership, guidance, education, accreditation and research.
