Meridian Marina in Palm City, Florida, is progressing through the next stage of its redevelopment, with completion expected in January 2026. The project is part of VIP Marinas’ long-term plan to expand services and accommodate the region’s growing boating community.

Meridian Marina

The marina sits on the South Fork of the St. Lucie River and has undergone renovations since VIP Marinas acquired the property in 2021. The company began by restoring existing buildings, dredging the basin, reinforcing the seawall and installing two new boat forklifts. An outdoor dry-storage rack for 140 boats was added, along with new landscaping and a larger paved parking area to improve access.

A new 4,292sqm hurricane-rated indoor storage building is now under construction. It will hold 140 boats up to 50ft (15 metres) long and will be built beside the rehabilitated structure already on site. When the work is complete, Meridian Marina will be able to accommodate 540 boats, with more than one hectare of indoor storage.

Rick Jacobs, General Manager of Meridian Marina, said: “The expansion will allow us to better serve our current outdoor storage customers who want to move their boats inside. In recent months, we’ve welcomed many new customers and, at times, had to temporarily place boats in the middle aisle of the existing barn.”

The next stage includes a boat sales office, expanded marine and retail services, dining and event areas, and upgraded facilities.

Austin Cameron, co-owner and CEO of VIP Marinas, said: “Palm City has always been defined by its boating lifestyle, and the community of boaters here continues to grow. Our vision for Meridian Marina is to accommodate that growth while creating a true destination that brings people together and celebrates the waterfront lifestyle that makes the Treasure Coast so special.”
