ORA Developers has appointed AtkinsRéalis, a global engineering and design consultancy, to provide master planning, infrastructure and public realm design services for BAYN, a waterfront community planned in Ghantoot, United Arab Emirates.

Located within the Dubai-Abu Dhabi growth corridor, the 480-hectare development will include more than seven kilometres of waterfront and 1.2 kilometres of beachfront. Plans for the site include a marina, lagoons, promenades, parks, sports facilities, retail, hospitality and community amenities.
More than half of the site will be allocated to open spaces, landscaping and water features. The development will also feature residential neighbourhoods with villas, townhouses and apartments, alongside pedestrian and cycling paths designed to connect different parts of the community.
AtkinsRéalis said its work will cover the project’s master plan, infrastructure coordination and public realm design from the early stages of development. The company also said it will create a planning framework that “balances immediate delivery priorities with long-term quality, coherence and adaptability.”
