Marina Technologies completed a new floating dock system at Centerport Yacht Club on Long Island, New York, in April 2026. The system was designed for the club’s launch service and temporary docking, with seasonal removal and winter storage built into the project.

Marina Technologies provides marine infrastructure, including aluminium frame docks, concrete floating docks, floating wave attenuators, dock ramps, gangways and bridges. For Centerport Yacht Club, the company engineered a dock system using its S222 aluminium extrusion and composite decking, which provides a slip-resistant surface and requires minimal maintenance during the boating season.

The system supports the club’s launch service to its mooring field and was designed for the wind chop experienced along Long Island’s north shore. As a focal point for the boating community in the area, the club also needed a seasonal system that could be removed and stored during winter and reinstalled before the peak season.

Matt Outland, MTI’s project developer for the Northeast, said the project reflected the company’s ability to develop a dock system around the requirements of a specific site: “They needed dock width for loading and offloading, utilities, durability for wave chop, ability to move cleats around, low-maintenance and visual appeal. On top of that, everything needed to come out for the winter! This really flexes what our team can engineer and produce.”
