Marina Ibiza has launched its 2025 environmental action plan, introducing a range of initiatives to reduce its ecological footprint and promote sustainable management of the marina’s surroundings.

Situated in the centre of the Balearic Islands, Marina Ibiza can accommodate yachts from eight metres up to superyachts measuring 110 metres. The marina also offers 24/7 security and a personalised concierge service.

The programme prioritises energy efficiency, biodiversity conservation, waste reduction and visitor awareness both on land and at sea. The marina has renewed its key certifications, including ISO 9001 and 14001, EMAS, the Blue Flag, the Clean Port seal and 5-Star Marina accreditation, which reflects the marina’s commitment to international environmental standards.

The plan includes expanding solar thermal panels to increase energy self-sufficiency and reduce emissions. The marina also promotes the use of electric vehicles to encourage sustainable mobility onsite.
Waste management upgrades feature new collection points for special waste like oils and batteries, alongside enhanced onboard recycling systems supported by free reusable bags distributed to guests and yacht crews.

Highlighting biodiversity efforts, Marina Ibiza has created a refuge for the Ibiza wall lizard, an endemic species, with specialised habitats and predator controls, coupled with visitor awareness campaigns.
The marina works closely with Palma Aquarium to ensure the rehabilitation and rescue of marine wildlife and collaborates with Be Blue and TrueWorld to drive conservation projects such as seabed clean-ups, electric boat educational outings and marine species monitoring.
Environmental protection is further developed by the ongoing Bio-Box system, which uses natural microorganisms to break down pollutants, and the CICERO Project, which enhances water transparency and marine ecosystem health.

Marina Ibiza’s evolving environmental programme solidifies its role as a sustainability leader in the Mediterranean, balancing luxury marina operations with the protection of its natural environment.
