Marina Ibiza has been awarded the international Blue Star Marina certification, securing the highest distinction of five stars in recognition of its quality, sustainability and services. The certification is granted by the International Marine Certification Institute (IMCI) in partnership with ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club). The achievement places Marina Ibiza among a select group of European marinas meeting standards for yachting facilities.

Marina Ibiza

Located on the island of Ibiza, Spain, Marina Ibiza offers moorings for yachts ranging from eight metres up to 95 metres. The facility features 13 functional pontoons, video surveillance, parking and charging points for electric vehicles, a fuel station with berthside supply, and a shuttle service for guests.

The Blue Star Marina certification assesses factors such as environmental management, security, accessibility, customer services and maintenance. Marina Ibiza’s successful accreditation reflects its continued focus on sustainability and operational excellence.

Manager Dani Marí highlighted the significance of the award: “This certification endorses our commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability. Not only does it honour our infrastructures, but also the hard work of the entire Marina Ibiza team."

Since first reaching the five-star Blue Star Marina status in 2013, Marina Ibiza has maintained quality and environmental certifications, including ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management, ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety, registration with the European EMAS system, the Blue Flag eco-label and inclusion in the Carbon Footprint Register.

In recent years, Marina Ibiza has also carried out environmental initiatives, such as converting parts of its grounds into a refuge for local lizard species, launching awareness campaigns aimed at visitors and introducing measures to protect marine biodiversity.
