IGY St. Katharine Docks Marina has earned five gold anchor status for the third consecutive time, following an independent review completed in October 2025.

The Five Gold Anchor Award is managed by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA). The review looks at day-to-day marina operations, including facilities, customer service and site standards. Under the scheme, marinas may choose to assess themselves or take part in an external review led by a trained assessor.

St. Katharine Docks Marina is included in the TYHA Gold Anchor network, which includes 151 marinas across 30 countries. The marina occupies three interlinked basins in central London and provides 185 berths for vessels up to 40 metres in length.

Opened in 1828 and designed by Thomas Telford, St. Katharine Docks once operated as a commercial port, handling goods including sugar, rum, spices, tea and wine. The site has since developed into a waterside destination, with the marina located beside the Tower of London and Tower Bridge and providing direct access to the River Thames.

Marina manager Tom Lord said: “This recognition counts St. Katharine Docks Marina among the highest level of marina facilities across the UK and abroad. Ongoing accreditation at this level is testament to the consistent effort put in across the whole site, from the various teams that contribute to its daily operation.”

THYA’s assessor, Barnaby Hayward, said: “As one of the city’s most diverse and dynamic marinas, St. Katharine Docks continues to set the standard for excellence in the UK and international marina community. Congratulations to the entire team at IGY St. Katharine Docks Marina on achieving this outstanding milestone once again.”
