Harrison Holidays has acquired Ardlui Hotel, Marina and Holiday Park on Loch Lomond in Scotland. The purchase follows the retirement of the estate’s previous owners and marks the beginning of a new phase for the property.

The estate spans 11 acres and includes a hotel, a marina and a caravan park. Ardlui Marina provides 26 moorings for vessels up to 35ft (11 metres) and features floating pontoons, a 20-tonne travel hoist, a slipway, trailer and boat storage, hull maintenance services, a fuel pontoon and a pump-out station.
The marina supports water activities such as wakeboarding, water skiing, speedboat tours, surfing and kayaking. A floating pier provides water, electric hook-ups and access to the hotel’s bar and restaurant.
According to Holly Lennon of STV News, Harrison Holidays plans to refurbish the hotel and surrounding grounds, redesign dining areas and add lodge and pod accommodation for holiday rentals. Two existing houses on the estate will also be converted into holiday lets.
Harrison Holidays is also considering expanding the marina to accommodate additional vessels. These developments are expected to create 10 new jobs over the next year.
William Harrison, director at Harrison Holidays, stated: “As a family-run business, we are always strategic with growth and expansion plans. This investment into such a unique holiday park marks an exciting step forward, creating new opportunities for our business and delivering benefits to both holidaymakers and community members alike.”
David Edwards, Global Relationship Director at HSBC UK, said: “This acquisition is a fantastic example of a business identifying a significant investment opportunity that strengthens its own portfolio but also contributes to local tourism and economic growth in the region.”
