Hamble Point Marina has opened a newly redesigned marina office as part of MDL Marinas’ wider £1.2 million ($1.6 million USD) investment programme at the Hampshire site. The work forms part of a series of phased updates intended to support berth holders and visiting boaters.

A new central building now brings together the marina office, toilets and showers. This replaces the former standalone facilities block and provides a single point of access for marina users.
Within the office space, design elements reference common cruising routes, while seating has been added at reception using furnishings supplied by Evocean. The interior also includes photography by local artist Neil Williams.
Dominic Brown, Marina Manager at Hamble Point Marina, said: “The team and I are thrilled to see the new office and facilities open. A special thank you goes to Zander Ozelton, our Property and Estates Project Manager, whose hard work and oversight were instrumental in the successful delivery of the redevelopment.”

Prior to the office upgrade, the marina completed a £500,000 (about $660,000 USD) refurbishment of its toilets and showers. As part of MDL Marinas’ environmental objectives, refillable hand and shower products supplied by Yorkshire-based Miniml Refills were introduced. The products are intended to reduce plastic waste through reuse.
Earlier stages of the investment programme have included resurfaced roadways, changes to parking areas, updates to waste management facilities and improvements to on-site security.
Located at the mouth of the River Hamble, Hamble Point Marina provides 230 berths for vessels up to 30 metres in length and 137 dry stack berths for vessels up to 10 metres. Additional services available at the site include laundry facilities, lifting and storage ashore, a 75-tonne boat hoist, a slipway and a service centre.
Tim Mayer, Sales and Marketing Director at MDL Marinas, said: “At MDL, our customers are always at the heart of what we do. By continuing to invest in our facilities and adopting sustainable practices, we’re making sure that Hamble Point is not only fit for today, but for the future.”
