Freedom Boat Club has opened its 450th global location at Liberty Landing Marina in New Jersey. Since its acquisition by Brunswick Corporation in 2019, the boat club’s network has grown to more than two-and-a-half times its size and now spans 35 US states, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates.

Overlooking New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline, Liberty Landing Marina is owned by Freedom Boat Club franchisees Bev and Tom Rosella. The marina offers over 500 slips for vessels from 20ft (six metres) to 160ft (49 metres) in length, along with dry storage, marine services and ferry connections to New York City.
The announcement comes as the company adds new locations in both North America and Europe. Recent openings include Sète and Gruissan in southern France, Cleveland Harbor Marina in Ohio, Lake Hopatcong in New Jersey and Hutchinson Island in Savannah, Georgia.
Cecil Cohn, Freedom Boat Club president, said: “This milestone is a direct result of disciplined execution, a differentiated model and the enduring appeal of the boating lifestyle. We’ve scaled with purpose by expanding into high-demand markets, strengthening the member experience and building a global network united by a shared mission to get more people on the water.”
Freedom Boat Club operates as a business of Brunswick Corporation, whose portfolio includes marine propulsion, parts and accessories, boat brands and marine electronics.
Cohn added: “This trajectory reflects the growing appeal of flexible ways to enjoy life on the water. “We’re scaling a model that expands access, introduces more people to boating and positions Freedom Boat Club as an important driver of the industry’s long-term growth.”
