Dockton Park Marina in Washington will close from 1 August to 30 September 2025 as it undergoes the second phase of a planned improvement project to upgrade the marina’s dock and moorage facilities.

King County, Washington

The closure will affect the entire dock area, including the boat ramp and floating dock. Moorage access as well as public boat launching will be unavailable during the construction period. Meanwhile, the playground and picnic areas will remain open.

The upgrades include replacing the breakwater, installing new finger piers, upgrading the boat ramp dock and replacing the floating dock at Dockton Marina. The work is scheduled within a narrow environmental permit window to minimise disruption to local marine habitats.

Dockton Marina offers beach access, picnic areas, a bell tower and a walking trail. The marina also provides space for 30 boats, with slips available for vessels up to 10-metres (32-feet).

In its completed first phase in 2022, improvements included the replacement of internal piles and finger piers, the addition of a sewage pump-out station, a fire suppression system and a swim dock. Light-permeable plastic grating was used in construction to support marine life.
