Day Break Marina, a full-service marina located on Bayou Chico in Pensacola, Florida, has been sold to Windward Marina Group, LLC. The transaction was finalised on 1 August 2025, with CCIM David Kendall of SVN Marinas acting as the exclusive advisor in the deal.

Established in 1989, Day Break Marina has served the Pensacola boating community and is known locally as the “Locals’ Marina”. The property offers a 4,459 sqm (48,000 sqft) dry storage barn with 211 indoor racks and 158 outdoor racks, alongside 14 wet slips. Facilities also include a 486 sqm (5,236 sqft) marina office and sales building, a 149 sqm (1,600 sqft) service building, as well as on-site fuelling, a full-service ship store, forklifts and dredging equipment to support its marine operations.
The marina was originally developed by the Adams family and has been operated by Day Break Marina, LLC. The family will continue to be involved in operations through a partnership with the new owners. The collaboration intends to preserve the marina’s longstanding local reputation while bringing additional resources to the site. The buyer, Windward Marina Group, is expected to support the marina’s ongoing role in the community, with continuity in service being a key component of the transition.
David Kendall, who facilitated the sale, is a senior advisor with SVN Marinas and a specialist in marina and waterfront investment sales across the United States. Speaking on the transaction, Kendall said, “Day Break Marina has a long and cherished history in Pensacola, and this partnership ensures that its legacy will remain in the hands of the Adams family while being supported by Windward Marina Group. It was a privilege to represent such an iconic property and to connect it with a partner whose vision aligns with the community’s values and future.”
The sale reflects the continued interest in marina properties across the Gulf Coast, particularly those with community ties and fully operational infrastructure.
