Marina Port Valencia is truly redefining Valencia's waterfront, with a project that encompasses yachting facilities, business premises and new spaces for the city. The vision is to create a destination that meets the needs of yachting lovers while strengthening the ties between Valencia's residents and the marina as a whole.

The project takes a holistic approach to reimagining Valencia's maritime landscape. Aside from berthing options, Marina Port Valencia is developing a space where yachting sits alongside technical services, dining and dedicated workspaces. The project will be rolled out in phases, with new facilities added progressively as part of a long-term plan.

It includes three marinas and an open refit yard, together with offices, coworking spaces, retail units, and leisure and dining areas. Together, these facilities are designed to cater to a broad range of needs across the industry, from owners seeking a base for their yachts to specialist refit companies.

Integration with the city will also be central to the design. The landscape design, led by GM Paisajistas in coordination with the ERRE architecture team, will be built around a “blue corridor” linking Marina Norte, Marina City and Marina Sur through green spaces, bike lanes and pedestrian walkways. The result will be a more cohesive waterfront, bringing the port and the city of Valencia closer together.

A standout feature of the project will be the open refit yard, designed to provide refit and repair services for vessels of all sizes, including superyachts. The facilities will include workspaces both ashore and afloat, workshops and offices, as well as the technical equipment needed to haul out, hoist and launch yachts. The idea is to create a professional hub bringing together specialist companies, skilled professionals and refit businesses, further anchoring Valencia's position on the international yachting scene.

Alongside the development of the new facilities, Marina Port Valencia offers a host of options for owners seeking a more permanent presence at the port. Berths are available to purchase or rent on a long-term basis, with terms of ten, fifteen or twenty years. These options give owners the flexibility to plan their sailing seasons ahead and make Valencia their home port.

In 2026, Marina City will see the first of the project's redeveloped spaces come to life. Its inner basin, in the facility's most sheltered location, is already operational and ready to accommodate yachts from 12 to 130 metres LOA. It features a central pontoon and berths for boats of 15 metres and above, alongside a host of services including offices, a new bar, 24-hour security, fuel supply and parking.

In Marina Norte, the Muro restaurant will open its doors this autumn, with bold ambitions to become a new waterfront hotspot thanks to its prime location and views across the port and city. What's more, construction work is underway on new buildings that will house businesses and create a hub for cross-industry collaboration.

Yet Valencia's appeal extends well beyond its marina. Its heritage, its cuisine, its cultural scene and its coastal setting make it a truly appealing destination for both short stopovers and longer stays. Marina Port Valencia sets out to enhance the 'Valencia Experience' with services and spaces that create a closer link between life on board, the port and the city.

Promoting water sports and other sporting pursuits is another key focus. The marina has signed a strategic agreement with the Valencian Sailing Federation to promote this sport through regattas, training activities and other events. Marina Port Valencia also provides a stage for major international events such as SailGP and the 52 SUPER SERIES, drawing world-class teams and sailors to Valencia. These events raise Valencia's profile as a sailing destination, bring the waterfront to life and support local industry.

Meanwhile, Marina Port Valencia's links with the yachting industry are also reflected in its relationship as a premium partner of Valencia Boat Show, which is held at its facilities. This partnership boosts the marina's role as a meeting point for professionals, brands, yacht owners and enthusiasts, while supporting the growth of the yachting industry and cementing Valencia's standing in the international sailing and yachting community.

Sustainability also plays a vital role at Marina Port Valencia. Initiatives include eco-friendly berthing systems designed to encourage the colonisation of marine organisms, alongside a landscape design featuring coastal-adapted planting, shaded areas and routes for walking and cycling. These measures are complemented by ongoing work in marine innovation and sustainability, in partnership with academic institutions and organisations across the maritime industry.

The whole transformation will gather pace over the coming years, with further facilities and services set to take shape as the project progresses. With this vision, Marina Port Valencia is passionately committed to becoming a premier go-to destination for the international yachting community.
