According to the United States Army Corps of Engineers, the lease was not renewed due to ongoing public safety issues and breaches of lease conditions. Once the lease expired, all marina services ended. These services included slip rentals and other marina-related activities.

Boat owners who previously kept vessels at the marina have been given formal notice to remove all boats and personal belongings from the site by 7 March 2026.

From 7 April 2026, any vessels or belongings left at the site may be regarded as abandoned under federal requirements for property on public waters and land. Items left unattended may be taken into custody and held in storage. Owners may be required to cover storage or impoundment costs before their property is returned.

Any refunds connected to cancelled marina services remain the responsibility of the former operator. Customers seeking refunds have been advised to contact Keith Theriot directly to confirm refund terms and procedures.
