D-Marin has acquired Olbia Marina in Sardinia, Italy, including Marina di Olbia Yacht Service and Molo Brin in its expansion in the country. The two sites operate in close proximity and act as an access point for yachting activities in northern Sardinia and the wider western Mediterranean.

Olbia Marina is located near Olbia Costa Smeralda International Airport and the city centre, with ferry links to the mainland. It also serves as a gateway to sailing routes across the Costa Smeralda, the Tavolara Marine Protected Area, the La Maddalena Archipelago and Corsica.

The marina features 270 berths for vessels up to 150 metres, with a maximum draught of 5.2 metres. It also includes a 200-metre fuel dock, which can refuel up to seven vessels at the same time and is described as the largest of its type on the northern Sardinian coast.

Following the acquisition, the site will operate using D-Marin’s digital systems, including an app for berth management and sensor-based vessel monitoring, along with the Happy Berth Days programme, which allows annual berth holders to access marinas across the network.

Oliver Dörschuck, CEO of D-Marin, said: “Olbia and Molo Brin represent one of the Mediterranean’s most important gateways for yachting. Their scale, location and infrastructure make them a natural fit for D-Marin, and we see significant opportunity to bring our operational expertise, digital innovation and service philosophy to what are already two very well-regarded destinations. This acquisition builds on a period of sustained and strategic expansion for D-Marin across the Mediterranean.”

The acquisition expands D-Marin’s network to 27 marinas across multiple countries, including Spain, France, Malta, Croatia, Albania, Greece, Türkiye and the UAE, with more than 50,000 customers served annually and over 14,000 berths, including more than 1,000 for superyachts.

With Camille Rayon on the French Côte d’Azur and D-Marin’s Ligurian and Tuscan marinas, including Marina degli Aregai, Marina di San Lorenzo, Marina di Varazze, Porto Mirabello and Marina di Livorno, Olbia is included within what the company refers to as a “Golden Triangle” linking Sardinia, mainland Italy and the French Riviera.
