Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) has invited bids for the removal of existing infrastructure at North Shore Marina, Lake Pueblo State Park, marking the first phase of a long-term redevelopment plan for the site.

The bid invitation marks a step forward in preparing the area for future marina services while ensuring recreational access is maintained during the transition. Located approximately six miles west of Pueblo, North Shore Marina has long provided facilities for boating, fishing and lakeside recreation for Southern Colorado residents and visitors.
Joe Stadterman, Park Manager at Lake Pueblo State Park, said, “Removal of the current marina infrastructure is a crucial step toward delivering a modern, functional and sustainable marina for the future. Requesting bids is about responsible planning and making sure every dollar spent aligns with market value and public benefit.”
CPW stated that the invitation for bids allows a transparent process to determine the cost and execution of the infrastructure removal. The process ensures a competitive bidding environment, whether the work is carried out by the current operator or a different and qualified contractor.

The current marina contractor is set to maintain services through at least 31 October 2025, with CPW confirming it will continue coordinating with stakeholders to avoid service interruptions during the peak boating season.
North Shore Marina supports up to 700 slips and offers amenities including fuel and pump-out services, overnight lodging and boat maintenance.
