The Blue Marina Awards will return in 2026 with a nationwide series of events across Italian marinas. Industry figures, institutions and operators will meet to discuss how tourist ports are evolving within the coastal economy. The programme will run from April to October and will focus on how marinas are adapting to economic and environmental pressures, along with their role in tourism and local development.

Key stops in the programme include Flavio Gioia Marina in Gaeta on 29 April, Marina Cala dei Sardi in Sardinia on 8 May and Marina Uno in Friuli-Venezia Giulia on 5 June. Further events are scheduled at Marina di Capo d’Orlando in Sicily on 23 June and Marina Carmelo in Calabria on 8 July, followed by Porto Cervo on 9 October.

The final stage will take place in Rome, with the date expected between late October and early November.

Alongside these stops, additional discussions are planned in Andora in May 2026 during the “Azzurro” festival and in Genoa during the Genoa International Boat Show.

According to the Blue Marina Awards, the 2026 calendar is designed to be a connected journey across coastal areas. Instead of treating each stop as a separate event, the format brings discussions directly to marinas and coastal locations, where daily operations and local economic activity reflect the themes under discussion.

The programme will focus on topics such as environmental practices in marina management, energy use and efficiency, service standards and access to facilities, along with innovation and digital tools.

From 2026 onwards, the initiative will also use the BMA Event Sustainability Index to assess the environmental impact of each event.
