Belfast Harbour Marina in Northern Ireland has reopened after a refurbishment that has increased its berth capacity and improved facilities. Located between Titanic Belfast and SSE Arena, the marina has been updated to support year-round operations.

The works have extended the marina’s pontoons from 775 metres to more than 807 metres and increased the number of berths from 60 to 67. Adjustments to the site, including the addition of restraint piles and the extension of pontoon D, have also restored 12 berths that were previously limited during winter and poor weather.
The marina can accommodate recreational vessels up to 25 metres in length, with a maximum draught of 3.7 metres. Onshore facilities include showers, kitchen and laundry areas, and nearby car parking is available and managed by the Odyssey Trust.

Duncan Paterson, marina manager at Belfast Harbour, said: “Demand to use the marina is extremely strong, with a solid base of long-term berth holders alongside visiting leisure craft, and that’s driving ongoing discussions around further expansion. Ultimately, this isn’t just about berths, it’s about enhancing the waterfront. The marina plays a key role in attracting visitors, supporting local businesses and contributing to Belfast’s maritime heritage. With its prime location, it has real potential to increase tourism, footfall and even create both direct and indirect employment opportunities in the area.”
