On 29 July, the Bahraini Minister of Tourism, Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, visited the site of the Bahrain Marina to review the progress of the project’s construction.

According to a press release issued by the Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Sairafi emphasised that the marina “represents an important addition to the Kingdom’s tourism infrastructure and contributes to diversifying entertainment and investment offerings.”
The marina will also support “the broader effort to develop the tourism sector and increase its contribution to the gross domestic product by providing integrated facilities that meet the expectations of citizens, residents and visitors”, according to Minister Al Sairafi.
She added that Bahrain Marina is one of the country’s primary marine-front projects, which are a key pillar of the country’s 2022–2026 tourism strategy. The hope is that Bahrain’s attractive beaches and coastal character will make sites like Bahrain Marina a major draw for tourists.

Meanwhile, Reyadh Sater, Chairman of the Board of Bahrain Marina Development Company, commended the "strong support the project has received from various relevant entities". Hisham Almoayyed, Acting CEO and Head of Project Development at Bahrain Marina Development Company, said that the marina represents a “promising future for both residents and visitors, offering a modern lifestyle that combines comfort, innovation and quality living.”
Minister Al Sairafi’s visit comes one month after Bahrain Marina Development Company appointed CBRE Bahrain to manage and operate the project’s 128 retail units, and two months after the announcement that phase one of the construction was 50% complete.
Bahrain Marina is one of the Kingdom’s flagship development projects, spanning over 250,000 square metres and featuring luxury residential units, a shopping complex, a yacht club, a marina, hotels and green spaces.
