Ballard Mill Marina in Seattle has been acquired by Wing Point Partners for $9.55 million USD, marking the end of over a century of ownership by the Black family.

As reported by Marc Stiles of Puget Sound Business Journal, Ballard Mill Marina is a 16-acre marine industrial property in Seattle’s Ballard neighbourhood. The waterfront property spans approximately 11 acres of upland and five acres of submerged land along Salmon Bay. It includes a recreational marina, more than 500 linear feet of commercial wharf and industrial buildings within Ballard’s maritime zone.
The site was first developed as a lumber mill in 1889 and remained under the Black family’s ownership for 136 years. Over time, the property evolved into a mixed-use marine facility now known as Ballard Mill Marina.

Wing Point Partners is a boutique real estate investment and development company specialising in large-scale reuse and mixed-use projects in the Pacific Northwest. Its co-founder and CEO Ned Carner said in a statement that the company aims to preserve the maritime identity of the site while attracting complementary business operations.
