The sixth Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina Rendezvous will feature two days of discussions, workshops and project presentations at the Yacht Club de Monaco (YCM) on 20-21 September 2026. Organised by M3 Monaco, the event will have professionals from 28 countries discussing topics from marina infrastructure and technology to investment and sustainability.

The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, ESA NanoTech, Bombardier, MB92 Group, Skytopia, Plus Marine and Italian Yacht Masters are supporting the event. Among those attending will be marina managers, investors, architects, industry representatives, innovation companies and captains.

The event will kick off on Sunday, 20 September, with the exhibition area opening in the afternoon, followed by welcome speeches from yachting YouTuber David Seal, José Marco Casellini, CEO of M3 Monaco, and Bernard d’Alessandri, YCM general secretary. A networking session will come next, with one-on-one introductions before the main sessions begin.

Next, three round-table workshops will be held. One will focus on cybersecurity in connected marinas, including ransomware, operational technology exploits and what operators are doing to address these risks. Another will look at new construction materials, including bio-concrete, recycled composites and upcycled sediment, and their use in pontoons, breakwaters and berths. A third will address the existing fleet and decarbonisation after refit work, looking at its economics, the scope for retrofitting and owner appetite.

Later in the programme, marinas and architects will present about 11 projects as part of the architecture competition before Sunday ends with a networking cocktail.

The event resumes on Monday, 21 September, with breakfast and networking, followed by welcome speeches and an opening keynote. Neity Maddock will moderate the second day’s conference sessions, starting with a discussion on biodiversity, berth value and ESG-linked finance, featuring ecologists and economists.

Further sessions will explore marina investment, architecture and innovation, from waterfront real estate, regulated concessions and recurring revenue to climate adaptation, energy production and new approaches to marina design. Alongside these, around 30 selected start-ups and scale-ups will pitch their innovations.

In the afternoon, a new batch of three round-table workshops will look at artificial intelligence, berth infrastructure and marina project development. One will examine how yards, marinas and captains are using AI in their work, while another will look at power, water and data infrastructure for electric yachts and connected services. The third will cover marina projects from site selection through to completion, bringing together operators, architects and financiers.

The event will close with the Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina Awards 2026, which will recognise initiatives and concepts that contribute to smarter, more sustainable marinas adapted to new uses.
