Suntex Marina Investors LLC has announced the acquisition of Saguaro Lake Marina in Mesa, Arizona, strengthening its presence in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The acquisition, made through a joint venture, marks the third marina and third boat club in the region under Suntex’s management.

Located 20 minutes from Mesa and nestled within the Tonto National Forest, Saguaro Lake Marina offers access to one of Arizona’s recreational boating destinations. Formed by the Stewart Mountain Dam in 1930, Saguaro Lake features more than 22 miles of shoreline, attracting visitors for a range of outdoor activities including boating, kayaking, sailing and fishing.

The marina is situated within the Saguaro del Norte Recreation Site and offers a variety of slip sizes. The marina offers seven-metre (24-foot), nine-metre (30-foot) and 12-metre (40-foot) slips to accommodate a range of vessels. Key amenities include covered slips, dry storage, a fuel dock, pump-out stations and a ship’s store stocked with boating essentials. Boaters also benefit from access to electricity, fresh water and an on-site marine service equipped with essential marine hardware.
In addition to its offerings, the facility features a waterfront dining venue, enhancing the overall guest experience. The site aims to cater to both seasoned boat owners and recreational users looking to rent vessels and explore the lake.
Mike Warntjes, Senior Vice President of Operations at Suntex Marina, stated, “This region has proven to be a magnet for tourists and locals alike who enjoy the outdoor activities provided by Saguaro Lake. The marina is an established facility representing a fantastic opportunity for us to offer the guest-centred Suntex experience visitors have come to expect at our properties. Whether you are an experienced boater and boat owner or a beginner looking to rent a boat and get out on the water with family and friends, Saguaro Lake Marina has something for everyone in a beautiful locale.”

With this latest acquisition, Suntex continues to expand its national footprint. The company now manages marinas in more than a dozen states, including California, Florida, Texas, New York and Virginia.
