PORT 32 Fort Lauderdale is expanding its yacht repair and refit services on the New River and has announced Brian Kelley as general manager of the marina and boatyard. He follows Matt Domke, who will lead the new PORT 32 Palm Beach Gardens opening this December.

With more than 30 years in marina, shipyard and yacht-service operations, Kelley will stay closely involved in the day-to-day running of PORT 32 Fort Lauderdale, working with the operations team and focusing on safety, reliability and communication. He comes after Domke, who has led the property since 2022 and will continue with the company as general manager of PORT 32 Palm Beach Gardens, opening later this year. 

Kelley commented: “I am proud to step into this role as general manager and build on the strong foundation already in place at PORT 32 Fort Lauderdale. With the boatyard fully operational and a talented group of on-site marine specialists covering everything from hull work to electronics, my focus is on staying closely engaged with the team and our members. I want captains and owners to know they can count on PORT 32 for a safe, reliable and service-driven experience so they have more confidence and convenience, leading to a more enjoyable time on the water.”

Near Marina Mile, the marina accommodates 240 vessels across its dry storage and upgraded wet basin, which can take vessels up to 180ft (55 metres), and features a 150-metric-ton Marine Travelift capable of hauling yachts and large recreational vessels up to approximately 120ft (37 metres).

PORT 32 says the expanded offering at the property covers yacht repair, maintenance and refit work, including bottom painting, hull and topside refinishing, fibreglass repairs and composite fabrication. Services also cover engines, electronics and electrical systems, air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical and hydraulic systems, running gear and stabilisers, plus detailing, ceramic coatings and metal fabrication. Yacht sales, servicing and brokerage are available on site, which also serves as an official service centre for Water Taxi Fort Lauderdale.
