The Port System Authority of the Southern Tyrrhenian and Ionian Seas signed two supplementary concession agreements with developer CADI on 3 November 2026 to expand the development area and update plans for a new marina at the Port of Vibo Marina in southern Italy.

According to the port authority, the additional 384sqm of maritime state-owned area will provide space for vessel handling, refuelling and mooring activities. The updated marina design also replaces the previously proposed berthing layout with six floating pontoons to provide more flexibility in accommodating different types of recreational vessels.
A multipurpose building covering approximately 379sqm will house services supporting the new marina’s operations. The plans also revise the design of the service quay and fuel supply system, which will be located at Fiume Quay, an area already covered by CADI’s existing concession.
Paolo Piacenza, president of the port authority, signed the agreements alongside CADI’s sole director, Domenica Marcello. Piacenza said the concession agreements would help enhance services for recreational boaters and could attract more visitors to Vibo Marina. He also described CADI’s investment as a contribution to the port’s capacity to accommodate new activities, in line with the authority’s wider plans to develop leisure boating through better infrastructure and private partnerships.
