Marine Structures has opened a new Sydney office at Burraneer Bay Marina in New South Wales, with Gary Charlwood managing the new location to support marina, waterfront and marine infrastructure projects in the region and across Australia.
Marine Structures provides residential and commercial marine structures, pontoon manufacturing and marina systems. The recent expansion adds to the company’s Queensland operations and joint venture with Jetty & Marine Constructions in Western Australia, where the two companies have worked on marina, jetty and waterfront developments across government, commercial and public sites.
Based at the 100-berth marina, the new office will be led by Charlwood, who has built his career in the marina construction industry since 1998 and has been part of the Marine Structures team for the past two years.
His background spans product innovation, business development and executive leadership, with experience across waterfront infrastructure projects, including the installation of more than 3,000 floating marina berths and work on piling, pontoon systems and design-and-construct management.
Charlwood said: “The Sydney office is an exciting step for Marine Structures. Being based at Burraneer Bay Marina allows us to work even more closely with marina owners, developers and waterfront stakeholders. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow our presence in the region and helping deliver the next generation of marina and marine infrastructure projects.”
